Jeni Castro, co-owner of Crossroads Music in Scottsbluff and Alliance, a well known musician and mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. A concert benefit will be held this Saturday, April 20 in Scottsbluff at the Elks Club beginning at 4 p.m.&nbsp;

This is a fundraiser to help the Castro familly&nbsp; with medical expenses associated with Jeni's diagnosis and treatment.

Come out, enjoy a delicious enchilada dinner, live music and silent auction.

Entertainment provided by Back In The Day, Shon Townsend Band, Roger Dodger, Loaded Dice and Kalin Krohe Reference.&nbsp;

The food will be served starting at 5 p.m.

Avid Dischord to get funky at Tipsy Dixie's in Alliance 

Randy Burghardt will perform two concerts this weekend throughout the panhandle.&nbsp;

Burghardt will play in Bayard at Bobbi Joe's Branding Iron on Friday, April 12 starting at 8 pm.&nbsp;

He will then travel to Gordon to play a C.A.R.E Fundraiser on Saturday, April 13 at the Gordon American Legion. The show starts at 8 p.m.&nbsp;

Josh Hoyer will be performing solo at Rompus Room in Gering on Friday, April 13 from 8p.m. - 12 p.m. then at Flyover Brewery in Scottsbluff on April 14th from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. 

Hoyer will bring some original soul, blues and americana music to western Nebraska.&nbsp;

Josh Hoyer &amp; Soul Colossal’s combination of soul, funk and R&amp;B is in a word, electric. Best displayed in their high-energy live show, the blend of Hoyer’s honest lyrics and his soulful (sometimes in-your-face) vocals merge with his top-notch band to create an undeniable chemistry.

Hoyer formed Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal in 2012 in famed blues town Lincoln, Nebraska. The award-winning six-piece band includes some of the area’s most revered and accomplished musicians. Inspired by Stax, Motown, New Orleans, Philly and San Francisco, the band continuously crosses musical boundaries both in style and era, and joins forces each show with a common goal – to have the crowd dancing so much they forget even their smallest troubles.

The magic of their live show caught the attention of producer Ken Coomer (Wilco, Uncle Tupelo), who joined with the band to record their third full-length album. Their most ambitious project to date, Running From Love was recorded at Nashville’s historic Sound Emporium, and once again features Hoyer’s trademark vocals and the band’s signature groove.
