AHS Boys Basketball team awards presented

Discipline, Intensity and Togetherness was the main theme for the Alliance Boys Basketball team for 2020-21.  By following those rally words the Bulldogs were able to go 19-6 this season.  The players, coaches and families celebrated the year at a team banquet Monday night. 

Head Coach Michael Baker spoke about how the team played together with discipline and intensity all season to accomplish several goals.  The Bulldogs were the Western Conference Tournament Champs for the first time in the 17 year history of the event.  Also Conference regular season and B-8 Sub District Champions and finished just short of a 3rd straight trip to the State Tournament. The Bulldogs were runner up in a very competitive Holiday Tournament in Broken Bow and were able to win twice in Scottsbluff. Coach Baker said maybe the most satisfying win was the triple overtime thriller in Ogallala.  Coach Baker thanked the AHS administration, assistant coaches Matt Whitney and Brandt Banzhaf, Senior managers Caisey Pfeiffer, Karly Wangler and Alex Pfeiffer and the players families for their suport all season, and gave special recognition to this years seniors.....Jaden Kelly, Jaron Matulka, Crayten Cyza, Brantz Halouska, Chase King, Caeson Clarke, Jaxon Bair and Chase Boyer.  Coach talked about how they all played their roles and were great role models for the younger players.  Coach Baker challenged the younger players to make a commitment to working in the off season and look for thier turn to be team leaders next year.

Coach Baker then presented the following team awards,  which were voted on by the players.
