AHS holds Athletic Awards Night

Alliance High School Student Athletes and Coaches celebrated another successful school year with the Annual Athletic Awards Night on Monday.    AHS Head Coaches...Nick Myers-Wrestling,   Stephen Crile-Girls Basketball,  Dalton Holst-Boys Basketball,  Joe and Laura Mangas-Unified Bowling,   Danielle Swanson and Tara Quick-Cheerleading,  Scott Mills-Girls and Boys Tennis,  Nate Lanik-Girls, Boys and Unified Track and Field,  Rennie Failor-Boys Golf,  Berlyn Clear-Girls Golf,  Manda Clarke-Volleyball,  Kelly Erickson-Cross Country,  Carlos Palomo-Softball  and Chris seebohm-Football...  reviewed their seasons and presented letters and awards to their athletes.

The night also included an emotional surprise,   when Mark Seebohm, presented his son, Chris, who is resigning as Head Football Coach, a Special Plaque to honor his coaching years. Chris has spent 18 of his 22 years as a coach, at his hometown school.  Chris has accepted a position  as Principal at Alliance Middle School.

The A-Club gave special recognition to former AHS Teacher, Leonard Hartman,  for his many years as a computer instructor, referee and scoreboard operator.  Other Special Awards went to....Lori Watson-Honorary A-Club Member.  Sarah and Mike Glesinger-Charles J Sherlock Senior Citizen Booster Award.   John Kollars-Outstanding A-Club Member. Girl Athlete of the Year, Catherine Bryner.  Boy Athlete of the Year, Tyzen Brown.

This years A-Club Officers...President Tyzen Brown, Vice-President Maribel Carillo, Secretary Kenna Montes, Sgt. at Arms Taytom Timbers announced next years Officers..... Jaelynne Clarke President,  Ciara Hudson Vice President,  Regan Braun Secretary,  Jonah Amil Sgt at Arms. 

Anita James will step down as Activities Director after 7 years. She has accepted a position as High School Assistant Principal.  She finished the evening challenging each AHS Student to strive to work hard, compete and be the best you can be,  for your team, your school and your community...and always remember ..."It's A Great Day To Be A Bulldog"
