The Chadron Cardinal Volleyball team took the title Saturday at the Alliance Pilfold Volleyball Invitational. The 8 team tournament was played at both Alliance High School and Alliance Middle School. Teams competed in 2-4 team pools. Teams competing this year were, Alliance, North Platte, Oelrichs SD and Yuma Co in Pool A, and Chadron, Hill City SD, Lakota Tech SD and Sidney in Pool B. Pool play scores, determined the final pairings for the Championship and Consolations matches.
Pool A: Alliance over Oelrichs 25-6, 25-5. Yuma over North Platte 25-16, 25-20. Alliance over Yuma 25-11, 25-9. North Platte over Oelrichs 25-12, 25-7. North Platte over Alliance 18-25, 25-13, 25-18. Yuma over Oelrichs 25-13, 25-15.
Pool B: Chadron over Hill City 25-22, 25-19. Sidney over Lakota Tech 25-9, 25 16. Hill City over Lakota Tech 26-24, 25-9. Chadron over Sidney 23-25, 25-15, 25-23. Sidney over Hill City 25-27, 25-15, 25-23. Chadron over Lakota Tech 25-20, 25-10.
Following Pool play final standings in Pool A...via the tie breaker of sets won and points allowed. 1-Alliance. 2-Yuma. 3-North Platte. 4-Oelrichs.

3 vs 3: Hill City over North Platte 25-21, 20-25, 25-12
2 vs 2: Sidney over Yuma 25-17, 25-20
1 vs 1: Chadron over Alliance 25-21, 25-20
In Nebraska Subdistrict play begins Monday, Oct. 25. Chadron will compete in the C1-12 subdistrict at Chase County High School. Alliance and Sidney will compete in the B-8 subdistrict at Sidney beginning Tuesday. North Platte will compete in the A-1 subdistrict. Brackets may be seen at nsaahome.org.
