Alliance had as good of a start as they could have asked for on Monday afternoon, taking an early lead 4-2, going into the 5th inning. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, it was the Scottsbluff Bearcats who scored eight runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to take a 10-4 lead and ultimately won 10-5.

Hannah Schneider pitched a masterful game early on, keeping the Bearcats bats at bay by using a mix of her off-speed pitches and higher velocity throws.  Maci Cornish hit a solo homerun and Kyra Jesperson blasted a two-run blast to help Alliance build the early lead.

Scottsbluff experience though might have been a difference as they capitalized off of some Alliance errors and got some big hits to take control of the game.

The loss for Alliance ends their season with an even record of 13-13, their best record since 2019 when they went 14-13. Scottsbluff used the momentum from the Alliance win to beat #1 seed Gering 24-9 yesterday in the Sub-District final.
