Hyannis Area Schools Principal/Superintendant Travis Hawk announced Wednesday the hiring of Charles Ferguson as Varsity Girls Head Basketball Coach. Ferguson has led the Longhorn Varsity Boys program since 2013 and will now add the Girls Head Coaching Duties to his position.
Ferguson is a graduate of Hyannis Area Schools and played on the 1993 State Runner Up team under former Coach Chris Kraus. He was also an assistant under Coach Kraus prior to taking over the Head Coach position. Ferguson led the Longhorn Boys team to the Class D District Finals in 2019.
