Severe weather bringing possible tennis ball size hail in western NE

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

Southwestern Box Butte County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...

Northeastern Scotts Bluff County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...

Northwestern Morrill County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...

Southeastern Sioux County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...

* Until 715 PM MDT.

* At 628 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lake

Minatare, or 14 miles northeast of Scottsbluff, moving southeast at

20 mph.

HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 626pm tennis ball sized hail

was reported 15 miles north northeast of Scottsbluff.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail

damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect

wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of

southwestern Box Butte, northeastern Scotts Bluff, northwestern

Morrill and southeastern Sioux Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm is producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy

structure and stay away from windows!
