The Alliance Bulldogs boys' basketball team has proven that they can outplay any team they play. The problem for the Bulldogs is putting together complete games as Chadron overcame a double-digit deficit in the first half to beat Alliance 64-54.

Tristen Timbers looked like a man on a mission in the first half, as he had a quick eight points in the first quarter, to help Alliance build an 11-point lead.

Espen Lanik found a rhythm as well hitting some big shots, but Chadron started to chip the Alliance lead in latter stages of the 2nd quarter.  The Cardinals used a run to cut the Alliance lead to just one point at halftime.

Rebounding became an issue for Alliance in 2nd half and Chadron, to their credit knocked down timely three's including three from Thomas Smith. Alliance was also hurt by turnovers, but to their credit they kept battling and were hanging around down just six points under two minutes, but the Bulldogs ran out of time in the win for the Cardinals.

Tristen Timbers finished the game with 17 points, Espen Lanik had 13, Seth Meyring with 7 and Felippo Bandera with 6 on two three pointers.

Alliance fell to 5-13 and now will play 14-4 Scottsbluff on Friday, on KCOW.
