Alliance softball was coming off of a huge scoring output last&nbsp; Tuesday against Chadron in a 10-9 loss, but Friday was a defensive battle that Gothenberg edged 3-0. The Swedes scored one run in the 1st and two in the 3rd and that is all they needed to get the win.

Hannah Schneider got the only hit in the game for Bulldogs her sister and&nbsp; Hallie Schneider was excellent in the circle for Big Blue.

Alliance falls to 3-4 on the season and face one of the top teams in the Western Conference on Tuesday in Gering.&nbsp; The other Bulldogs are led by Gabby Moreno who leads the state with four homeruns. That game will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening in Gering.
