Just over a week after claiming the D-6 District Crown, the Hemingford Girls Cross Country Team picked up a bigger piece of hardware for their trophy case.
The Bobcat Girls team won the Class D State Cross Country Championship Friday in Kearney. Hemingford finished first with a team score of 38 and had three team members finish in the Top 20. Freshman Dakota Horstman was 6th, Sophomore Aurora Hinman was 14th and Junior Carlye Kresl was 18th. Other team members were Serenity Dillard and Madison Meek. Ainsworth was the runner up with a team score of 40, Crofton was third in the very competitve team race with 41 points.
The Hemingford Boys Team finished in 18th place...team members were Zane Hinman, Boady Hunter, Creel Weber, Drew Varner and Gavin Bell.
Alliance Junior Ben Cassatt-Renia finished 4oth in the Class C Boys race.
