Alliance Public Schools Announced last week the departure of Alliance basketball coach Dalton Holst. The former CSC starting quarterback coached and taught History at AHS for two years, including leading the Bulldogs boys' basketball team to 15 wins.
In an exclusive end of the season interview, Holst told KCOW Sports Director Alex Benzegala that he accepted a coaching position in Gilbert AZ.
In addition to coaching basketball, Holst was a part of the Bulldog football coaching staff, where he helped improve Alliance to two victories last fall.
"My time here has been amazing, and I am a better person and educator after my time in Alliance," Holst said in a press release.
Alliance High School Activities Director said on behalf of AHS, "we thank Coach Dalton Holst for all he has done for our boys basketball program. With his skills and passion for working with young people, he has a bright future as a teacher and coach."
The search for his replacement will begin in the near future, as Alliance have four open head coaching vacancies in Softball, girls basketball, men's basketball and volleyball.
