An exciting finish to the Annual Clair Conley Memorial Baseball Tournament. The Alliance First National Spartan Seniors bring home the Championship with a come from behind 11-10 win over Ogallala. Alliance scores 5 runs in the top of the 7th.. behind a grand slam home run by Caeson Clarke, to take a one run lead. In the bottom of the 7th ,Ogallala loads the bases before the Spartans get the final out on a deep fly ball to left field. Jacob Callen started on the mound for Alliance and Ashton Ross finished the game. Caeson Clarke also homered earlier and Mario Garza had a couple of hits. Alliance got some sparkling defensive plays from cather Eli Blanco and outfielders Tyzen Brown and Espen Lanik.
Alliance goes 5-0 in the tournament to take the title and improves their record to 17-15 on the year.

The Sr Spartans are scheduled to host The Rapid City Post 22 Expos on Tuesday with games at 5-7 pm and Gering in a doubleheader on Wednesday... Jrs at 5 pm and Srs at 7 pm. The senior game Wednesday night will be broadcast on KCOW AM-1400 and FM 92.5.
