OXFORD, Neb. (AP) — Authorities in rural southwestern Nebraska say a teenager died in a fire near the town of Oxford.
The Kearney Hub reports that fire crews were called to the blaze in a farm shop building around 10:30 a.m. Monday in rural Furnas County.
Firefighters who searched the building found 18-year-old Alan Jerry Weatherwax dead inside.
Officials say the fire was contained to the shop building.
No other details were released.
The Nebraska State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
