Sidney will host the Nebraska American Legion Baseball, Area 7 Tournament, July 9-12 at Legion Field.
The double elimination tournament begins on Friday July 8, with #2 seed Gering facing #3 seed Chadron at 4 pm, MT. #4 seed Sidney will meet #5 seed Ogallala at 7 pm. The 2 losing teams from Friday will meet at 2 pm Saturday, July 9. Top seed Alliance will meet the Sidney-Ogallala winner at 5 pm Saturday.
The Tournament continues Sunday, July 10 with a winners bracket game at 2 pm and an elimination game at 5 pm. An elimination game will be played at 6 pm Monday, July 11 and the Championship game will be at 4 pm on Monday, July 12. If a 2nd game is needed it would be played following the 1st game.
The Area 7 Champion will then advance to the Class B Junior State Tournament in Wahoo, NE which will run July 16-20.
Ogallala will host the Class B Area 7 Senior Tournament July 22-27. Those pairings will be set next week.
