Alliance softball avenges loss to Chadron in Saturday win

The Alliance Bulldogs softball team finished Saturday with a victory over one of their main rivals Chadron, in a 7-4 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday. 

The Bulldogs had a disappointing start to the day, losing their first two games by scores of 5-3 to McCook and 7-3 to Gering.

In the last game of the day, Alliance and Chadron were going back and forth as the game was tied 4-4 after four innings, but Alliance scored 3-runs in the 5th to pull away for the 7-4 victory.

CeCe Hudson went 2-3 with two RBI's, Hannah Schneider went 2-3 and an RBI. Kennedie Gibson, Kyra Jesperson each had big hits to score runs for the Bulldogs who outhit the Cardinals 11-5.

Hallie Schneider earned the win with eight strikeouts through five innings.

Alliance improves to 7-7 overall on the season with a home game against Scottsbluff on Tuesday.
