William “Bill” Joel Bye, 43, of Scottsbluff, passed away on September 4, 2019 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10th from 9 AM until 10:30 AM at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with the funeral to be held at 10:30 AM with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Memorials may be given to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com


Bill was born October 25, 1975 at Scottsbluff, Nebraska to William Bye and Betty Steeg. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1994. Bill worked as a farm laborer and loved to work on cars. He most enjoyed spending time with his son, Reid.


Bill is survived by his son Reid Bye, mother Betty Steeg, sister Staci Bye, brothers Scott Garvin, Steve Garvin, and Bryon Garvin, aunt Cathy Rotherham, uncle Guy Hoppe, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.


Bill was preceded in death by his father William Bye, grandparents Lester and Catherine Hoppe and Sherban and Sylvia Bye.

Janet K. Toedtli, 59

Janet K. Toedtli, 59, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Box Butte General Hospital.


Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel EV Lutheran Church. The Reverend Richard C. Mueller and Reverend Martin T. Schnare will officiate. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 9 from 1-7 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.

 

Janet K. Toedtli, 59, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Box Butte General Hospital.

She was born December 12, 1959 in Alliance to Harold “Bud” and Betty (Bartels) Wills.

On May 12, 1979 she was united in marriage to Chris Toedtli in Alliance.

Janet is survived by her husband, Chris, her daughter, Elizabeth Toedtli, her sons, Jacob and his wife, Mikala Toedtli and Richard Toedtli, and her 3 grandchildren, Annabelle Lynn, Ridge and Beckett Toedtli all of Alliance. She is also survived by her brothers, Tim (Kim) Wills of Hemingford, Ross (Johana) Wills and Mike (Kim) Wills of Alliance and Bill Wills and fiancée, Candy Contryman of Gering. Her survivors also include her father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Kathy Toedtli of Alliance, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jody and Dick Williamson of Fort Worth, TX, Dana and Dan Fredrick of Grand Island, NE and Pat and Annette Toedtli of Orlando, Florida along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.


Janet had been working at PREMA for 10 years as a billing clerk and office manager. Her interests of camping, gardening and bonfires were secondary to the devotion and love she had for her family, especially her 3 grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel EV Lutheran Church.
