Jerry Merlyn Studt, 71

On Friday, September 13th, with the full moon to light his way, Jerry Merlyn Studt passed away surrounded by his family after a brave fight with Lewy body dementia. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and kindhearted nature.
Jerry was born on June 30th, 1948 in Alliance, Nebraska to Iva and Merlyn Studt. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1966 and from the UNL School of Pharmacy in 1971. He spent most of his life in Wilber, Nebraska as the local pharmacist. On April 28th, 1990 he was united in marriage to Lonnie Lawless and built a family with her children.
He is survived by his wife Lonnie; stepchildren Dax Brydl, Chelsea Brydl, and Kara Boyd; his beloved grandchildren Gage, Marshall, and Ivy; brothers Loren (Cathy) Studt, Larry (Cheryl) Studt, and his sister Lori (Paul) Coryell; nieces Andrea and Brittany Coryell; nephews Jeff and Randy Studt, Logan and Shane Oliva; great nieces Sydney and Kaitlyn; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judy and Doug Oliva.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 30 in Wilber at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church with a celebration of life to follow at the Fox Hole Tavern.
