Samantha Kathrine Gonzalez, age 50 passed away on Wednesday September 25th, 2019 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Samantha was born May 24th, 1969 in Alliance, NE to Edward J. and Cecilia (Castro) Gonzalez. She is survived by her two sons, Zachariah Boslau of Ft. Meyers, Florida and John Nunez of Lakewood, CO. She is also survived by her mother, Cecilia (Castro) Gonzalez of Alliance, NE, her brother and sisters, Arlene and Jim Smith of Littleton, CO, Adrian Gonzalez of Alliance, NE and Celeste Hull of Alliance, NE, her signifcant other, Steve Vogel of Alliance, NE and nieces and nephews Alexis Lauterbach of Denver, CO, Drew Lauterbach of Alliance, NE, Dylan Smith of Littleton, CO, Sierra Gonzalez of Thornton, CO Anthony Gonzalez of Alliance, NE and her great niece and nephew, Celina Borrego and Zekieus Sanchez.
Samantha was a 1987 graduate of Alliance High School, she worked for two medical facilities specializing in child development and genetic health while she lived in Denver. Samantha relocated back to Alliance to help take care of her parents. Samantha worked for the Senior Services Center of Alliance, Neb where she enjoyed sharing her passion and love for the Senior Citizens. She loved music, dancing, singing, sports and crafting; she had many more passions. Samantha loved living in the country as she loved the animals and the freedom and that became her sanctuary.
Samantha was a member of the Holy Rosary Church. A Rosary will take place on Thursday October 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The funeral services will be on Friday October 4 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Tim Stoner officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Samantha was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Gonzalez and her brother, Rick "Gonzo" Gonzalez.
