The Alliance City Council met on Oct. 1 to discuss an electric line rebuild for Perkins Road and County Road 55 in Box Butte County.

Watts Electric Company of Waverly will be doing construction on the line rebuild for $244,000.06.

"We got about 2.75 miles worth of rural line that's going to be rebuilt. It's on Perkins Road and County Road 55, " said Alliance City Manager, Jeff Sprock. "It's time to replace that line and the electric department identified that and going to take care of it."

Sprock said the electric department is also doing line rebuilds near the golf course and Alliance airport.

"Infrastructure is expensive, but it's worth it to have reliable electricity." added Sprock.
