A Chadron man has been arrested for meth.
On Aug. 30 officers with the Chadron Police Department had contact with 23 year-old Tristan King about an ongoing investigation.
During questioning, King gave consent for officers to search his personal items.
"During the search of personal items, a set of brass knuckles were located wrapped up in a bandana. King is a convicted felon," said Chadron Police Chief, Tim Lordino. "Officers also located a white crystal-like substance in a bag located on King’s person."
Officer’s field tested the substance and determined it was methamphetamine.
Officers arrested King for possession of methamphetamine, a Class IV Felony, possession of deadly weapon by prohibited person, a Class III Felony, and theft by deception (2 counts) a misdemeanor.
King was booked into the Dawes County jail. Bond was set at 10 % of $10,000.
