Deron Dolfi (1967 - 2019)

Deron Dolfi, 52, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born October 12, 1967 in Bethel Park, PA son of Jayne Dolfi Kenna of Bethel Park, PA and the late Gaston “Buddy” Dolfi. He is preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer Dolfi and his maternal and paternal grandparents.


He is survived by his loving wife Kelli of twenty five years; one daughter, Tia Mishoe and her husband Christopher of Lake City, SC; a brother, Scott Dolfi of Pittsburgh, PA and his wife Leslie; nephew Dylan Dolfi, dear family friend Richard Strang and his beloved fur-babies, Chip, Gibbs and Lola.


Deron loved many things in life: being an educator, refereeing and coaching high school sports, listening to country music, walking on the beach and picking out sharks teeth with his daughter, spending quality time with his family and enjoyed spending time with friends. Deron had an easy going personality and hardly ever met a stranger.


A celebration of Deron’s life will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 07, 2019 at the St. James High School Auditorium, 10800 SC-707, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

Lyle Lester Grant (1925 - 2019)


Lyle Lester Grant, 94, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Box Butte General Hospital.

 

He was born July 21, 1925 in Alliance to Arle J. and Veva Irene (Oathout) Grant. 

 

Lyle served in the Army Air Corp from 1944-1947 and Army Reserves from 1947 to 1950. He received a Quilt of Valor on May 11, 1919 along with his two sons Larry and Lonnie. Lyle was a police officer for the City of Alliance retiring after 23 years of service. He then worked for the Alliance public schools for 8 years. He was a member of St. John’s United Lutheran Church and Eagles Club.

  

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Larry and Barbara Grant of Hemingford, Lonnie and Janell Grant of Alliance and Sally Olson-Jones of Broken Bow, NE. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Survivors also include his sister, Amy Metcalf of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s United Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Stadem officiating. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Monday from 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
