No injuries reported in early morning car crash in Scottsbluff

No injuries were reported in a multi vehicle crash early Monday morning in Scottsbluff. The Scottsbluff Police Department and the Scottsbluff Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of East Overland Drive and Highway 26 at approximately 5:16 am December 9 in reference to a 3 car motor vehicle accident.

According to a Media release from the Scottsbluff Police Department, During the investigation it was learned that a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am was travelling westbound on Highland Road attempting to cross the intersection onto East Overland Drive. The Grand Am was operated by a juvenile female. 


The juvenile female failed to notice a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser which was headed eastbound on Highway 26. The Chrysler was being operated by 43 year old Bryan Ballinger of Scottsbluff. The Grand Am struck the driver’s side of the Chrysler. The force of the impact caused the Chrysler to strike a 2013 Ford SUV driven by 44 year old Nichole Robinson of Gering which was facing Eastbound on East Overland Dr.


 All three vehicles sustained significant damages and required towing from the scene. No injuries were reported and none of the individuals were transported to the hospital. The juvenile female was cited for failure to yield the right of way. The Scottsbluff Police Department was assisted by the Nebraska State Patrol, Scottsbluff Fire Department, and Valley Ambulance Service.
