CSC to honor 229 at Friday commencement

CHADRON – Chadron State College expects to honor 229 candidates for graduation at commencement exercises Friday.

 

Dr. Beth Wentworth, Mathematics Professor, will speak at the graduate ceremony in Memorial Hall at 2 p.m.

 

CSC 2014 alumnus Adolfo Daniel Reynaga, an Attorney with Legal Aid of Nebraska, will speak at the undergraduate ceremony in the Chicoine Center at 4 p.m.

 

Following is the list of candidates expected to graduate by degree. It consists of 92 students for master's degrees and 137 students for bachelor's degrees.

Agenda Set for special Alliance Council Meetng

Here is the agenda for a special meeting of the Alliance City Council scheduled for Tuesday December 10th at 1:00pm in the Municipal Building Conference Room. Panhandle Post will have full coverage of the meeting late tomorrow.


Call to Order Roll Call Open Meetings Act Announcement 

For the public's reference a copy of the Open Meetings Law has been posted on the north wall of this room in the audience area. This posting complies with the requirements of the Nebraska Legislature. 


A. Resolution No. 19-116 - Amended Memorandum of Agreement with Western NE Community College 

This resolution will authorize entering into an Amended Memorandum of Agreement with WNCC for leased space within the Alliance Library/Learning Center. 

B. Discussion and Direction on Property Owned by the City, 1200 Flack Avenue 

The City of Alliance owns the property at 1200 Flack Avenue, the former Bomgaar's Building. The property was purchased by the City in June, 2018 for use as a Parks Shop and Public Transit Barn. City Manager Sprock will report on his findings regarding the requests Council made following the April 25, 2019 Special Meeting.
