The Denver Broncos have hired another veteran assistant in quarterbacks coach Mike Shula. The 20-year NFL coaching veteran was the New York Giants' quarterbacks coach the past two years under former Giants head coach Pat Shurmur. The Broncos hired Shurmur as their new offensive coordinator this month following his ouster as the Giants' head coach. Shula and Shurmur bring more than four decades of NFL coaching experience to Denver to work with second-year quarterback Drew Lock. Scangarello and ex-quarterbacks coach T.C. McCartney were both novices last year when they were hired to modernize Denver's offense.
