OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Officers called to an area of north Omaha for a report of shots fired found a man dead Sunday, police reported.
The Omaha Police Department said in a news release Monday that officers were sent to 24th and Pinkney streets around 10 p.m. Sunday after the city's ShotSpotter system was activated. Arriving officers found a man, later identified as 39-year-old Anthony Bonner Sr., dead from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Police have not announced an arrests and are asking the public to contact homicide detectives with any information on the shooting. Tips leading to an arrest are eligible for a $25,000 reward.
