Hyannis Area Schools Superintendant Travis Hawk announced the hiring of 2 new coaches. Billie Grant as Head Varsity Wrestling Coach and Austin Casper as One Act Head Coach.
Coach Billie Grant was born and raised in Colorado and has lived in Whitman for the past 13 years. He was a 4-time state qualifier in high school and has been coaching youth wrestling since 2014. He has assisted with the Junior High program for the last 2 years. Billie and Wife, Chawnee have 3 children, Kanen, Colter and Shaylee.
Coach Austin Casper has been involved in play production and speech since high school. He participated in one act play, musical productions and speech at Boone Central High School. He helped coach and judge speech at National Forensics League as an assistant in Colstrip, Montana. He has assisted with play production in Hyannis since returning to Nebraska. Coach Casper will take over for long-time Coach Jeanne Gentry, who has coached and taught at Hyannis for the past 20+ years.
