The Nebraska School Activities Association announced Thursday, that the Girls and Boys State Basketball Tournaments will remain in Lincoln, and will be a 5 day format this season. The Girls tournament is scheduled to run March 2 through 6 with the Boys Championships running March 9 through 13. All games this year will be played at Pinnacle Bank Arena and at Lincoln Public School venues. The Bob Devaney Center will not be used, due to the University of Nebraska Volleyball team playing their season this spring. This change was made to limit the number of games played in single locations to help with Covid-19 social distancing protocols.
The 5 day format will have 2 -Class B and 4 -Class A games at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Tuesday.
Wednesday... All Class C1 and 2 Class B games at PBA, and all Class C2, D1 and D2, first round games played at Lincoln Public School sites.
Thursday...Class D2, D1 and C2 Semi-finals at Pinnacle Bank Arena
Friday....Class C1, B and A Semi-finals at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Class D2, D1 and C2 Consolation games at Lincoln Public Schools.
Saturday....All 6 Championship games played at Pinnacle Bank Arena with the C1 Consolation game at Lincoln Public Schools.
