Alliance High School Senior Payten Gibson will continue her athletic career at the college level next fall.&nbsp; Payten signed a letter of intent on Thursday,&nbsp; to play softball at&nbsp; Central Community College.&nbsp;

Payten is a 4 year member of the AHS softball team and played several infield positions her freshman, sophomore and junior years.&nbsp; She concentrated on pitching her senior year.&nbsp; Alliance Coaches Carlos Palomo and Brian Johnston commended Payten for her strong work ethic through her high school career, along with continued improvement hitting and increased velocity in the pitching circle.&nbsp; Payten was recruited as both a pitcher and utility player by CCC.&nbsp;

Central Community College is located in Columbus, Nebraska and is part of a multiple campus communtiy college serving a 25 county area in central Nebraska. Besides softball, CCC offers Womens volleyball, basketball and soccer and Men's basketball, soccer and golf.&nbsp;

Payten is the daughter of Candice and Justin Gibson of Alliance.
