Hemingford bobcat's girls basketball starting their game strong against Hay Springs on Tuesday, with the Bobcats and Hawks tied at 17 at halftime.
However, it was Hay Springs who pulled away in the 2nd half with a big 4th quarter to win it 45-34. Gabby Twarling had 14 points in the Hay Springs win to improve to 4-2. Hemingford drops to 0-4.
On the boy's side, Hemingford was competitive but again Hay Springs used strong defense to win 54-39 to stay unbeaten at 4-0. The Bobcats have now dropped three straight games and they hope to end the losing skid when they host Mitchell on Thursday.
