Alliance basketball goes to Bridgeport Saturday( KCOW coverage)

The Alliance Bulldogs are looking for a pair of big non-conference wins on Saturday as they travel to Bridgeport.

On the girl's side, 4-6 Alliance is looking to use their scrappy defense to slow down the high-octane attack of 9-0 Bridgeport, who averages almost 75 points per game. Alliance is coming off two tough losses to Broken Bow and Boone Central in their holiday tournament and are hoping to get going offensively to keep pace with Bridgeport, who is aiming to continue their quest to win a state championship.

Jaelynne Clarke leads Alliance with 12.9 ppg, while Bridgeport is led by D-1 Northern Colorado commit Olivia Loomis-Goltl who averages 25.4 ppg.

Girl's game is scheduled for 3:30.

On the Boys side, Alliance is looking to continue to build momentum having won three 0f their last four contests and face a tough test in 5-3 Bridgeport. That game is scheduled for 5 pm.
