On Monday news came down from Team Jack that Andy Hoffman, the co-founder of the organization had passed away from glioblastoma.

Hoffman helped raise millions of dollars in the pursuit of child cancer research after his son Jack was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of five. Jack Hoffman would go on to have a touchdown run in the 2013 Nebraska spring game.

Team Jack was saddened by his passing and put out a statement:

"Andy was our fearless leader who loved his family with all his heart. His tenacity for fighting childhood brain cancer is how he met every challenge including his own fight with brain cancer. Andy Hoffman, we love you and will miss you, and we promise to honor your legacy by fighting harder than ever for kids with brain cancer. Please keep Andy’s family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time."

The Team Jack Foundation has raised over $8 million since its inception. You can find more information on the foundation on their website.
