Her work has payed off, as Macala has signed to continue her education and compete in track and field, at Mount Marty University . She plans to major in Pre-Veterinary Studies and will compete on the Lancer indoor and outdoor track & field teams. At AHS, Macala took part in cross country, basketball and track & field. She was also very active in 4-H and FFA. At Mount Marty she will focus on the hurdle events.
Mount Marty University is located in Yankton, South Dakota. It is an NAIA school and a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Macala is the daughter of Colleen and Robb Hood of Lakeside.
