NEMO, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say a wildfire is forcing evacuations of residents who live about 20 miles northwest of Rapid City.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Department says agencies are responding to a “major fire” in the Nemo area.
High winds blowing out of the west are pushing the fire east.
Citizens are being asked to stay out of the area and use alternate routes.
The sheriff's department calls it “a very active and dangerous scene.”
No more information was immediately available.
