New Adult Programs at Alliance Public Library
Alliance, NE – The New Year will be filled with new adult programming: a new book club, a new craft club, and new days and times for our existing programming.
BYOB Club will now meet on the first Thursday of the month, starting January 4th from 5:30 to 6:30pm in the APL community Room.
Fiber Arts Club will now meet the 1s Wednesday of the month from 2 to 3pm in the APL new community room, and on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30pm in the APL community room.
Our new “Crime after Crime” True Crime book club will meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month, starting January 18th from 5:30 to 6:30pm in the APL community room. Whether you are just causally interested in true crime or are a full blown Crime Junkie, we want you to come and discuss crime after crime with us. Our first discussion will be on I’ll be gone in the dark by Michelle McNamara. Stop by the circulation desk the last week of December or the first week of January to check out a copy for a $2 postage fee.
For those looking for clubs that don’t require reading, our new “Art A La Carte” craft club will meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Friday, starting January 5th from 5 to 6pm in the APL community room. Members are welcome to bring any craft they are working on and meet with fellow crafters in the community to create and chat. Please note that this is not an instructional workshop. Crafters will supply their own materials and projects for club meetings.
