Spartan's Clarke and Garza selected to play in All-Star Classic

Two members of this years, Alliance First National Spartan Senior baseball team, have been selected to play in the 20th Annual Kiwanis Baseball All-Star Classic. The game will be Saturday, August 6 at Sam Crawford Field in Wahoo.

Spartan Seniors ..Caeson Clarke and Mario Garza will play in the All-Star Classic with some of the top players from Class B and C Senior Legion teams from across Nebraska. Players are nominated by their Coach and must be in their final season of Senior Class B or C Baseball to be eligible.

This past season the Alliance FNBO Spartan Senior team went 27-23 and were the Area 7 runner up.    Caseson Clarke finished with a .421 batting average with 61 hits, 29 RBI, 39 walks and 49 runs scored.  Caseson played Shortstop, Outfield and Pitched for the Spartans.

Mario Garza hit .401 with 57 hits, 45 RBI and 28 runs scored.  Mario played mostly First Base for Alliance.  Both players were members of Alliance's State Runner-up teams in 2019 and 2021

The All-Star Classic will be a 9 inning game starting at 7 pm CT, Saturday August 6 at Historic Sam Crawford Field in Wahoo.  The players will participate in a hitting challenge earlier in the day, and awards will be presented following the game. The game is sponsored by the Wahoo Area Kiwanis Club.
