Alliance High's Avah Steggall became the second member of the Senior class of 2021 to sign a letter of intent to play college volleyball.  Avah signed with North Platte Community College on Tuesday, following her teammate, Amauri Browning, who signed with Highland CC of Kansas on Monday.   NPCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX.  The Knights went 17-15 this season.

Avah,  who stands 6'0",  was an exceptional, all around player for the Bulldogs her Senior year.  After being a hitter most of her career, She lead the team in assists with 423,  while registering 122 kills,  259 digs and 43 blocks this season.  She also set a school record for ace serves in a match  with 8.  Her teammates voted her the Senior Award winner, for the examples she sets on and off the court.  She helped lead Alliance to a 19-17 record as the Bulldogs played in the Class B District Finals for an 8th straight year.  She plans to play setter and right side hitter in college. She is also a returning starter for the AHS Girls basketball team.

Avah is the daughter of Dana and Ben Bauer,  and Jay Steggall of Alliance.
