The Alliance Bulldogs were looking for a confidence boost at the Douglas Tournament in Wyoming, and they got it by winning their first five matches and ended up as the runner-up in the tourney.
The tournament started out with 2-0 sweep of Moorcroft on Friday (25-14, 25-9)
On Friday afternoon, the Bulldogs lost the first set 26-24 to the host school Douglas, but came back two win the next two sets 25-19, 15-9 to beat the Bearcats.

On Friday night, Alliance had another close match as they got past Southeast from Yoder WY, in three sets (25-19, 24-26, 15-6)
To get to the championship match, the Bulldogs edged Torrington 2-1 (26-24, 14-25, 16-15)
After winning a whopping five straight matches, Alliance matched up with Buffalo, and the Bulldogs fell short 2-1. (21-25, 25-21, 15-10)
After a tough loss at Gering, Alliance won five of six matches at the Douglas Tournament to earn runner-up honors at the Tournament, improving to 5-2 overall. Next up is a match hosting South Dakota power Rapid City Christian on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. KCOW and Panhandle Post will have the full broadcast of that match starting at 5:45.
