In a game where the Bulldogs defense shined, Scottsbluff made a few more plays to eke out a home win over Alliance in the Class B Sub-District Final 28-25 in Scottsbluff.
It was the 3rd straight game where Aliance held an opponent to under 30 points and it was the 2nd fewest points that the Bearcats scored all season only two 26 in a loss to Sidney. The game was also the opposite of their first meeting on Feb 2. When Scottsbluff won 62-52.
Alliance had a fast start, taking a 9-7 lead after the 1st quarter. The Bulldogs struggled from the field in the 2nd quarter and a strong run by Ava Reed and Scottsbluff helped them outscore Alliance 8-2 in the 2nd to get a 15-11 halftime lead.
To Alliance's credit, they were always within striking range as they trimmed the lead to 24-21 entering the 4th.
