GRAND ISLAND — During the afternoon hours of Saturday, February 19, Nebraska State Patrol investigators conducted alcohol inspections in Adams, Webster, and Nuckolls counties.
The project was supported in whole or part by grant #0560 under the Hastings Area Substance and Alcohol Abuse Prevention program.
In total, 16 businesses were inspected. Two of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a non-compliance rate of 12%. Both businesses failed to check the minor’s ID. The businesses included convenience stores, restaurants, and bars.
The business in violation were:
Discount City – Hastings
Premier Stop – Blue Hill
Businesses that fail the inspections are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
