Ogallala will host the Nebraska American Legion Baseball, Area 7, Senior Tournament, July 22-26 at Legion Field.
The double elimination tournament begins Friday July 22 with #5 seed Sidney facing #4 seed Gering at 4 pm MT. #3 seed Chadron will meet #2 seed Alliance at 7 pm MT. The two losing teams from Friday, will meet at 4 pm Saturday, July 23. Top seed Ogallala will meet the Sidney-Gering winner at 7 pm Saturday.
The Tournament continues Sunday July 24, with an elimination game at 2 pm and the winners bracket game at 5 pm. An elimination game will be played at 6 pm Monday July 25, and the Championship game will be at 5:30 pm on Tuesday July 26. If a 2nd game is needed it would be played following the 1st game.
The Area 7 Champion will advance to the Class B Senior State Tournament in Broken Bow Ne, which will run July 30 to August 3.
Brester Construction of Lincoln won the Class B Jr. State Tournament in Wahoo, defeating Plattsmouth 8-0 in the final game. Alliance represented Area 7 and went 0-2. Falling to Sutton 5-3 and Wayne 5-1.
