Alliance High School Freshman Ashley Carr,&nbsp; recently competed in the 1st round of qualification for the American Legion 2022 Junior Air Rifle National Tournament.&nbsp; 

The&nbsp;competitors fire 20 record shots in 20 minutes from the prone position,&nbsp; 20 record shots in 25 minutes from the standing position and 20 record shots in 20 minutes from the kneeling position.&nbsp; &nbsp;The targets are 10 meters from the firing line and the shooters use a .177 caliber air rifle.&nbsp; &nbsp;Ashley scored a total of 517 points out of a possible 600.&nbsp; Ashley has been competing in the American Legion Air Rifle competition for 2 years.&nbsp; She is a member of the Box Butte County&nbsp; Guns R Us&nbsp; 4-H Club and is the daughter of Kari and Josh Carr of Alliance.&nbsp;
