Panhandle teams will open the 2021-22 basketball season Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the Annual Western Conference Invitational Tournament.
Games will be played at Scottsbluff, Gering, Mitchell and WNCC over the 3 day event. Both Girls and Boys teams from Western Conference Schools Alliance, Chadron, Gering, Mitchell, Scottsbluff and Sidney, along with teams from Sterling and Arvada Colorado will compete.

Girls winners bracket games are set for Friday Dec. 3 at 5 and 8 pm at WNCC. Consolation bracket games are 5 and 8 pm at Scottsbluff. Saturday the 7th place game is set for 10 am and the 5th place game at 1 pm at Gering. The 3rd place game Saturday is 10 am and the Championship game, 1 pm at WNCC.

Boys winners bracket games are set for Friday Dec. 3 at 3:30 and 6:30 pm at WNCC. Consolation bracket games are 3:30 and 6:30 pm at Scottsbluff. Saturday the 7th place game is set for 11:30 am and the 5th place game at 2:30 pm at Gering. The 3rd place game Saturday is 11:30 am and the Championship game, 2;30 pm at WNCC.
The Scottsbluff Girls and Alliance Boys are the defending champions. KCOW radio will broadcast the Alliance Girls and Boys games each day of the tournament.
