AmeriCorps Seniors Unites in Service on MLK Day 2024
Alliance, NE – Alliance RSVP once again is hosting their annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day food drive, this year partnering with Nebraska AmeriCorps Seniors across the state starting on Friday, January 12th through Wednesday, January 17th. Nonperishable food donations will be accepted at the Alliance Senior Center, located at 212 Yellowstone Avenue from 8am – 5pm. RSVP will also be at the Alliance Grocery Kart to accept donations on January 12th, 15th and 16th from 1pm - 5pm and on January 13th from 11am – 5pm and on January 14th from 12pm – 5pm. All donated items will be taken to our local food pantries to restock the shelves that are depleted from the holiday demand. If you are not able to bring your donations to the Senior Center or Grocery Kart, please call the RSVP office at (308) 762-1293 to schedule pickup. Make Your Own Stuffed Animal at Alliance Public Library
Alliance, NE – Children in grades Kindergarten and up can make their own stuffed animal at the Alliance Public Library on Friday, February 9th from 3:30-4:30 pm in the Community Room. The cost is $25 per stuffy and registration is required by January 25th at the circulation desk, with payment due at registration time.
