JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Sheriff's officials in northwestern Wyoming are reopening the cold case of a human skeleton found by a hiker in 1998.

Teton County sheriff's officials still don't know who the dead man was and have sent a femur to a laboratory in Fort Worth, Texas, for DNA analysis.

Kent Fiske says he vividly recalls finding the man's skull in the Cache Creek area.

Fiske led sheriff's officials to the spot the following day.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports searchers found the rest of the skeleton a few weeks later.

Detectives also found IV tubes, leading some to think the man intentionally overdosed.
