LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- September 18, 2021 -- The Chadron State College volleyball team fell to 0-2 against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents after losing 21-25, 15-25, and 22-25 at New Mexico Highlands (3-7) Saturday night.

The Cowgirls' success can be attributed to setter Soliel Gandara, who saw all setting duties for Highlands Saturday night. She had 36 assists against the Eagles, which helped her team to land 44 kills and a hit percentage of .270 on the evening.

First-year middle hitter Aiyana Fujiyama offensively and defensively led the Eagles, amounting to 10 kills and seven blocks. Libero Rylee Greiman finished the night with 10 digs.

Assist leaders were setters Devyn Volz with 12 and Audrey Bennett with 11.

"We lost," said Head Volleyball Coach Jennifer Stadler. "[Highlands] came to play and we struggled to get things going."

The Eagles will be at home for the first time this season next weekend. They will host Black Hills State Friday the 24th and South Dakota Mines Saturday the 25th. Both matches start at 6 p.m.
