Alliance, Neb. - Darin Boysen, Executive Director of the Nebraska Coaches Association presents AHS Girls Golf Coach Berlyn Clear with the 2023-24 Girls Golf Team Academic Excellence Award in Recognition of Outstanding Academic Performance in the 2023-24 School year. The award was presented to AHS Head Golf Coach Berlyn Clear at the Nebraska Coaches Association Clinic in Lincoln in July 2024.
Coach Clear says the team maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.73 to earn this award. "I am very proud of the team both on and off the course. It isn't easy being a student-athlete -- juggling practice, tournaments, and schoolwork. This award shows our team's dedication to academics."
Alliance was one of six Class B Girls Golf teams to receive this award this year. Members of the AHS Girls Golf team in 2023 receiving this award were Emily McCune, Kayel Lambert, Katelyn Heisler, Ryley Norris and Harper Setter.
