The Alliance Bulldogs wrestling team is back in action tonight (Thursday) as they travel to Chadron.
Bulldog's boys wrestling coach Nick Meyers has been pleased with how his team has performed so far this season, especially in dual matches, and feels Chadron will be a good test for his team on Thursday.
"Chadron is not going to give you anything, we have got to be prepared to wrestle a full match for the entire line-up and work hard for bonus points and work hard for each other," Meyers said.
Jackson Bailey has emerged as one of the top wrestlers at 126 pounds in Western Nebraska, as he has started out the year with some big wins including some 1st place finishes at invitationals. He says he respects Chadron, considering his cousin Quinn is a star on the team but also wants beat the Cardinals decisively.
"They're pretty good, I don't know if they have a 126, but I want to beat him, and beat them bad," Bailey said. "They beat us in football and shouldn't have, so I want to take it to them."
Tonight's match starts at 6 p.m.
