⛳ 2024 Girls High School State Golf Notebook
· The Class B State Golf runner-up is from right in our own back-yard…or should I say back nine! Scottsbluff High School junior Addison Peck shaved five more shots off her first round total with a 79 on Tuesday to take the silver medal at Girls State golf in Gering.
· Her teammate Elliot Selzer combined a pair of 88’s for an 8th place tie and the Bearcats claimed fourth in the final team standings, eight shots back of 3rd place Norris. At plus-128, Omaha Duchesne won the event by one stroke over Elkhorn North.
· Sidney High School came in eighth with Claire Jordan leading the way with her two-day total reaching plus-38 for a 14th place tie. Ryley Norris from Alliance was 64-over in a 53rd place tie and she took eight shots off her first round on Tuesday.

· Chadron moved up to a 10th place finish in the Class C State Golf event in North Platte by chopping off 32 strokes on the second 18 holes as a team. The Cardinals carded 392 shots Tuesday and finished plus-240.
· Senior Taegan Bach put together the best two-day total to lead the Cardinals at plus-53. Eliana Uhing made the biggest gains on the second day, going from an opening round 109 to a second round 89 – gaining 20 shots and finishing 45th.
· Gordon-Rushville senior Katie Coomes had back-to-back 105’s for a 62nd place tie, and Mitchell junior Kaidyn Patterson finished tied for 55th.
