The Alliance High School Volleyball Teams celebrated their seasons at their end of year banquet Thursday night.
The Bulldogs had a lot of returning talent from last season, but were bringing in an entirely new coaching staff, with first year Head Coach Manda Clarke and Assistants Brittany McClary and Erica Smith. Coach Clarke talked about being a bit nervous to begin with, but through summer work outs and team camps, the players really enjoyed doing things together and by the time the season began, the team was very close. The common theme of the night was..."3 squads", but "ONE BIG TEAM".
Coach Clarke thanked the players, parents, the AHS administration and all involed with the program, along with volunteer assistants Sandra Pilfold, Jasmine Clarke, Courtney Schnell and Haley Hoxworth. Coach Clarke also thanked and commended this years Seniors, Haley Weare, Kenna Montes and Peyton Kindred, for being great leaders and teammates.

Assistant Coach Erica Smith presented the Reserve Team Awards. These were voted on by the players and coaches. The Reserve squad finished with a record of 17-7.

Assistant Coach Brittany McClary, presented the Junior Varsity Awards, also voted on by the players and coaches. The JV team finished with a record of 17-6-1.

The Varsity team finished with a 16-17 record. The Bulldogs competed in 5 tournaments and played 23, 2 point sets this season. The Team finished with a 92% serving percentage , 866 kills and 184 blocks. Senior Kenna Montes and Junior Kinley Peiffer were named Western Conference Honorable Mention and Senior Haley Weare and Junior Jaelynne Clarke were named All Conference. Jaelynne Clarke also set a school record for most blocks in a match, with 10. Coach Clarke also mentioned that 17 team members had a grade point average of at least 3.5. The three Seniors...Haley Weare, Kenna Montes and Peyton Kindred, were all voted as Team Captains for this season. Coach Clarke presented the Varsity Team Awards, also voted on by the players and coaches.
