AHS Seniors Diana Kollars and Alec Garcia sign with Hastings College for Track

With graduation just days away,  two Alliance High School Seniors are already  making plans for next year. Diana Kollars and Alec Garcia signed letters of intent on Thursday to attend Hastings College and compete on the track and cross country teams. Both Diana and Alec are 4 year letter winners for the Bulldogs  and have been consistant placers in meets this season.   

Diana has competed in the open 200 and  400 meter runs , and the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays.  She plans to concentrate  on the middle distances and relay events in college. She is the daughter of Renee and Tim Kollars of Alliance.

Alec has competed in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs and the 4 x 800 relay. He is also a 4 year letter winner on the Bulldog cross country team. Alec will run the long distance events and also compete on the Hastings cross country team.  Alec is the son of Amber Jacobs and Abe Garcia of Alliance.

The Alliance Track and Field teams will compete in the Bayard B-C-D meet on May 7.  The B-6 District Meet is set for May 13 in Ogallala.  The Class B State Track and Field Championships will be May 21-22 at Burke Stadium in Omaha.
